Hello and happy Friday everyone,
Today is a bit of a special blog. We are introducing the newest member to The Shearing Shed family.
We are excited to welcome Adam Beckett as the newest head chef.
Adam is a much loved husband to Tara and a father of 2 beautiful girls Dottie and Hermione.
Not to forget the cats too Rupert, Rosie and Jim.
I can't wait to tell you all about Adam and his journey.
Adam was born in West Wales in the United Kingdom where he studied at Cardigan college, upon completion he worked at numerous Michelin star UK restaurants. Then in 2013 he made the big move to Australia.
He has worked in many well known restaurants, in Sydney he worked at Jonas, the 3 hatted Quay in Sydney, Sous chef at Vu De monde, Head chef at Paringa Estate, Executive chef at Lindenderry and now head chef at our beautiful venue.
When we talk to Adam about his journey he doesn't let on to much about his expertise, he is super humble which we love. Each day we talk to him we find out a little more about his chef life. When he started working at Paringa Estate within 12 months of him being the Head Chef Paringa was awarded it's first ever chefs hat.
This then placed Paringa Estate in the top 40 restaurants.
Adam's favourite thing about being a chef is the social aspect, he loves talking about food. He loves the way people are always so intrigued with what he is doing or how he is doing it. He loves the way that food talks everywhere you go.
His favourite dish to cook is meat or seafood. He loves the feeling of cooking it well. Nothing better than an amazingly cooked steak, or cooking fish to perfection!
We love having Adam here, his food is amazing. We can't wait for him to bring his flavour to our menus in the upcoming months.
