How many guests can The Shearing Shed accommodate

Our main reception space comfortably seats up to 110 guests or can host more for a cocktail-style wedding. It’s the perfect size for both intimate celebrations and lively parties.

Is The Shearing Shed available year-round?

Yes! Our venue is fully equipped for weddings in every season. The Shearing Shed itself has air conditioning and heating – plus a roaring fireplace – making it a cosy option no matter the weather.

Is the venue heated and air-conditioned?

Yes. The Shearing Shed is fully equipped with both air conditioning and heating. There’s also a large open fireplace that adds extra warmth and atmosphere during cooler months.

​Do you have a minimum number of guests for receptions?

Yes. We require a minimum of 40 adult guests for all wedding receptions. Our packages are designed to suit events of various sizes while still offering excellent value.

Can I customise the reception space?

Absolutely. The Shearing Shed is a beautifully restored space with rustic charm and neutral tones, allowing you to style it your way. You're welcome to bring your own vendors or work with our recommended local suppliers.

Do you provide catering and bar service?

Yes. Our in-house chefs will craft a menu using seasonal and local ingredients, with multiple dining styles available. Our full bar service includes beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Are vendor and children’s meals available?

We sure do. Vendor meals are $50 per person. Children’s meals (for guests aged 12 and under) are also $50 and include canapés, a main, and a soft drink or juice. We also cater for all dietary needs with prior notice.

Is there a dancefloor or space for entertainment?

Yes! The Shearing Shed includes a designated space for your dancefloor, band, or DJ setup. We’ve hosted everything from live acoustic sets to high-energy party playlists.

What time does the reception need to end?

Our standard reception hire includes five hours, with the latest event finish time being 11:30 PM. Extensions may be available – please refer to your contract or ask our team for details.

Can guests leave their cars overnight?

Yes, guests are welcome to leave their cars overnight. We just ask that vehicles are collected by midday the following day.
