Today I would like to introduce our one and only DJ/MC- Music With Memories. Shannon is an absolute legend and a pleasure to work with. He is well known for his ability to raise the roof and get the party started!! For additional hire Shannon's wife Nat has The Photobooth Girl and The Event Hire Girl (See previous blog to see what they are all about) Since a young age Shannon has always loved music and the age of 10 he started playing the drums. He had that natural ear to the beat which then evolved into Djing. Fast forward 10 years, he is still going strong along side with his lovely wife in their full time family business. Shan absolutely loves his job. It is always providing the best of fun, there is never a dull moment and such an awesome environment to be involved in. He is an absolute sucker for a rocking dance floor and dry ice first dances. When asking Shannon what is the best/craziest thing he has seen at a wedding he said; Given the amount of weddings I have done it is hard to say. He has had many professionals incorporated into his work from drummers, dancers, fire twirlers and so much more! Massive guest lists with packed dance floors to more intimate moments. For Shannon there is a best moment at every single wedding. What is the one question you ask all your clients that best helps you understand them and their requirements? You would think it would be a list of the favourite songs. It is actually a list of songs they hate, it says a lot about the couple and I know exactly where to go from there. During Shan's career he has witnessed so many amazing moments at weddings. One of his most memorable would be a spontaneous decision made by one of the bridesmaids and groomsmen to swap outfits for their introductions, the bride and groom had no idea and it was bloody hilarious!!! What is your favourite trend at the moment or what would you like to see more of in the wedding industry? Mid week weddings are becoming more common which allows us to work with more couples to achieve their ultimate party! What is your best advice to couples in the planning stage of their wedding?
