Hello everyone, today I would like to introduce you to the lovely Kayla Maree. She is a photographer & a pretty good one at that. Kayla is a lover of photos, cheese, wine & chocolate. Kayla is a sucker for a great love story so it seemed only natural she was drawn to photographing weddings. Being a part of real life love stories & happily ever after's fills Kayla with so much indescribable joy. From the moment when the bride walks down the aisle, all the way to the dance floor for the party. She loves going for a more natural, candid & honest style wanting her couples to look back on the photos to remember the real moments that happened throughout the day as well as all the fun you have had along the way. Kayla feels inspired by wide open spaces, rolling hills & deep valleys being a country girl at heart. Kayla got in to the wedding industry by always loving photography & being THAT person who always had a camera in hand. In 2011 she was asked to shoot a friends wedding then from there that is when she knew that this is exactly what she wanted to be doing capturing lovers all over the place! The thing she loves most about the wedding industry is the excitement & joy that weddings bring. Loving that each & every wedding is so different is what makes it all so special. Getting to work with other amazing suppliers in the industry is pretty dam awesome when everyone brings all their individual talent to create the best celebration! When asking Kayla what is the best/ craziest thing she has ever been asked to do at a wedding she said there is quite a few as you can imagine at a wedding. A few stand out moments include a dog being a ring bearer (what a bloody cute photo opportunity) Having to climb on top of a car to get the perfect shot, then having a brides son hide under her weddings dress whilst trying to say their vows haha all these are classic photographer moments. When talking to Kayla about the most memorable events she has seen, she said the things that make the day the most memorable are when the couple focus on what they want for the special day not what they have to do. There are far too many events to narrow it down too which one is the most memorable, they are all amazing in their own way. Kayla isn't a huge fan of trends but she loves when couples think about the environment when planning to make their wedding as sustainable as possible. Some of Kayla's best advice to couples in their planning phase is to do things your way, don't sweat the small stuff & have heaps of fun with it :) CONTACT |
