Hey, I’m Abbie - owner of The Shearing Shed and proud professional third wheel at hundreds of epic weddings. I’m the one behind the scenes making sure your big day runs smoother than a well-poured espresso martini.
What started as a family-run venue has grown into a full-blown celebration station, and I’ve been here for the ride (and the dancefloor antics) every step of the way. From wrangling timelines to hyping you up for your aisle strut, I’m here to make sure your day feels just like you - laid-back, love-filled, and unforgettable.
No cookie-cutter weddings here. Just good vibes, honest chats, and a team that genuinely gives a damn. Let’s do this thing.

The Family behind the fun
Running The Shearing Shed isn’t a one-woman show - this gig’s got a whole family behind it.
You might spot my husband Scott around the place - he’s usually knee-deep in dirt running his civil construction biz, but he’s been known to jump in and fix a fence or move a bar fridge when needed. He’s the quiet achiever who keeps things running behind the scenes (and occasionally reminds me to take a break).
Then there are our teenage daughters - official taste-testers of the canapés, dancefloor critics, and sometimes-waitstaff if you’re lucky. If you catch them at your wedding, they’ll be bringing the energy, the eye-rolls, and probably a sneaky story about growing up around 200+ strangers every weekend.
The Shearing Shed is our family home as much as it is your wedding venue - and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
