We all know that feeling too well; when you are out & having too much fun, next minute the party or function is almost over, then its time to go home. Those feels are pretty shattering when you're in the mood for a big one! (Unless you are the opposite & looking for an excuse to go home...?) Thats why we are seeing trends shifting and that these after parties are becoming extremely popular. The wedding party, after the reception then moves on to a new venue to go all night! Wedding venues have a curfew which usually coincides with their liquor licence, meaning they have to stop serving alcohol. Therefore, the party has to end. where is a good idea for a wedding after party?A great idea for an after party is somewhere you can hire out for your guests, keeping in mind to have it in reasonable proximity to the wedding location. A great idea is something like a bar, hotel function room or even a friends house if they are willing to host if you are thinking of having it straight after the wedding. Otherwise how about the next day for a brunch or recovery party with casual food & drinks to celebrate the married couple! Its probably a safe idea to use a function room even at a pub or club as this means you don't have to clean up or organise everything, you can leave it in the hands of the owner or manager of the venue. things to keep in mind whilst thinking of organising an after partyOnce you have chosen a venue & spoken to the owner about what you want to happen afterwards, just bare in mind that by law the venue has every right to turn away anyone who is extremely intoxicated or disorderly. Got any friends like that? Also have your wedding MC announce it early, maybe just as the dance floor kicks. Maybe a suggestion to pace themselves, so they make it to the late night shenanigans! Another great idea, which is totally up to the individual, is to maybe consider putting a bit of money behind the bar to keep everyone going or to get some finger food into everyones tummies so hopefully they don't wake up to bad in the morning :) how to organise
