Nowadays society has us present in the things maybe we should not be so present in? Like deep into social media scrolling for absolute no reason. Or even so worried about what everyone else is doing & not ourselves.
Here is few tips to help you stay 100% present on your wedding day.

DELEGATION STATION

Have you ever heard of the saying perfect preparation prevents piss poor performance? Well now you have & this is super important in the lead up.
To make your day run as smoothly as possible you need to put measures in place during the planning process, this way everyone can help pull off the big day successfully! A great way to start is to delegate roles to your bride tribe, this will help take the pressure off immensely & after all these guys are all hands on deck throughout the whole process.
A simple wedding to do list will put your mind at ease knowing you can go through the motions together, crossing off all the things that need to be done, making it super fun along the way. Your main job is to stay present, enjoying every little moment of your wedding day.

GO OFF THE GRID

Ah the good old phone is quite the distraction, always begging for our attention somehow. It may benefit you going offline for 24 hours to really take in each & every moment around you. I find it is so common to get so caught up in what is happening on social media rather than what is right in front of us. I think it is just the shift in society, any who that is a completely different kettle of fish. I think it will be far more beneficial for you to focus on the fun to be had with your bridal party. I know some people might not be able to live without their phone for the day which is also fine too, I would just hate you regret anything when you look back. Don't worry about missing out on any selfie opportunities as that is what your photographer is for, give your phone to your bridesmaids to let them take care of anything that is needed.

KEEP THOSE MORNING RITUALS

When you finally get to the big day begin your day the way you would every other day, if morning yoga is your thing then do what feeds your soul, if you follow your normal routine trust me it will help you feel way more relaxed to tackle the day ahead. If you go in to the day stressed & unorganized that is going to be the overall tone for the day which is something you definitely don't need or want! This day is one you're going to remember forever so make it count. Start your day with some much needed self care to engage a clear, open mind for the whole day :)

FUEL YOUR BODY

Well hello there, food is life! Fueling your body is super important period. So then once a few hours have passed when  your deep into a conversation with Aunty Thelma you don't hear your stomach roar at you for not feeding it haha.
I know nerves can play a big part here, you may not feel like eating but find something even something little just to tie you over until the next eating opportunity hopefully before the drinking opportunity as well all know how that works out... drinking on an empty stomach = UH OH

THE NEWLYWED MOMENT

It is so important to look around you at your wedding. Look at all the people who came to support you & soak up all the things around you. An increasing popular thing to do at weddings these days is to sneak off to a corner to take it all in.
Look at everyone enjoying themselves around you, this is YOU they are here to celebrate I think it is just so freaking special! Even sneaking off to enjoy just a few minutes of each others time away from everyone else makes it so much more real like YEAH this is happening right now you just married the love of your life. This day is about you & your partner beginning your married journey. Sneaking away is the perfect chance to tell your partner how much you love them & how much you have appreciated your wedding day. Trust me this will stick with you forever!
