WHAT IS THE ETIQUETTE AROUND KID FREE WEDDINGS?Communicate as clearly and as politely as possible to your guests. The earlier you let them know the better off they are so they can organize someone to look after the kids. The way you word it is important too make it super light and respectful. Something along the lines of " We love your kids as much as you do but we would love for just the two of you with us whilst we say I do' Be consistent, if you tell one guest you aren't having kids at your wedding then allow others to bring them you may cause someone to get upset. If you are planning on having family members there like niece and nephews be open and honest and let everyone know early. " Our wedding day will be an adults only soiree with the exception of our immediate family members" Consider the friends with new born babies, most likely if you want them there they will need to bring them along and have to breastfeed. Also consider your friends who have to travel far and can't find a baby sitter just be prepared to consider special exceptions. Let everyone know as soon as possible, by making the call early you give everyone ample opportunity to arrange their kids. You can let guests know on your wedding website or guest invitation.
