I'm a true believer of when you know, you know. It's the little things that remind me that he is the one. Like looking at him for no reason with a big grin on my face thinking 'I just love him so much' Jydon and I have always been best friends. He was always the true friend I turned to for absolutely everything. He used to tell me he had feelings for me but I thought our friendship was far too special to start a relationship. I finally caved after many years and we haven't looked back.
Shortly after we were engaged, we found out we were expecting which put our wedding plans on hold and changed our minds in regards to what we had planned. We decided on a destination wedding, inviting our nearest and dearest to travel with us. We found The Shearing Shed on Wedshed and I just knew it was going to be our perfect destination wedding venue.
We chose a feasting package as this felt like our style of food and reading the menu made our mouths water. We were married in January and to this day our guests are still raving about the food, it was so good. I bought a few styles together for our wedding; country, boho and rustic. I found inspiration on Pinterest and with the help of local suppliers exceeded my own expectations. The most memorable part of our day for me was walking through those doors to start walking down the aisle. I was arm in arm with my dad and he also had my little girl on his hip. From that moment myself, my husband-to-be, my dad and everyone else in the room had tears in their eyes. There wasn't a dry eye to be seen. This just goes to show how important each and every guest at our wedding was to us. It was such an emotional happy time, it was beyond amazing. If I could pass on one piece of advice to future brides it would be; be completely present in the moment on the day. It goes way too quickly and you want to cherish every second. From the moment I found The Shearing Shed and contacted Abbie I knew it was our venue. The first impressions of the venue through photos and talking to Abbie were beyond anything I had expected and when I got on the boat from Tasmania to Melbourne I was just so ready to marry my best friend. I can't recommend The Shearing Shed enough, our day reflected us perfectly because of the venue. my wedding tribe:Photographer: The White Tree
