WEDDING DAY HELPFUL TIPS

Now we know you might have some crazy expectations of how you want your wedding to play out but in reality shit can turn pear shaped at any time. We always say to our couples plan your little hearts out in the lead up but then on the day let go of all expectations and just enjoy the day to be exactly how it pans out.
There are so many emotions running high, the adrenaline and excitement all wrapped up into one sometimes it's hard to even string a sentence together.

We want to give you a few handy tips and tricks that will help you have the best experience on your wedding day.
Even the little things like staying hydrated and making sure you eat.

  • Go about your morning routine as your normally would whether this is practicing mindfulness or a little yoga flow to get the blood flowing in the morning.

  • EAT BREAKFAST- We can't stress this enough, now is not the time to skip breakfast you have a huge day ahead of you.

  • Let go of all expectations, you have invested so much time and money for the worry to consume you. It's all about having fun now and taking it all in.

  • Have a tight AF run sheet organized so you know the exact timing of everything

  • Delegate a person to be your on the day point of contact, make sure this person whether it be a family member or even your maid of honor,  is across the wedding and how it's been planned. Give this persons number to any vendors who may need to contact you on the day for any last minutes questions or updates.

  • Accept that life doesn't always go to plan so you may need to be a little flexible if things need to be altered slightly on the day. Every wedding may encounter small hiccups and it is all about how you manage them on the day. There's no need to overreact there will always be a solution to the problem.

  • Limit the time that you go on your phone, there is no need to be seamlessly scrolling social media let me just remind you IT'S YOUR WEDDING DAY, embrace it all as it will be over in the blink of an eye.

  • Ask a member of your bridal party to take a few getting ready photos and videos that you can look back on before receiving the professional photos.

  • Trust in your vendors! We seriously cannot recommend this enough, you have chosen this team for a reason and they all know exactly what they are doing.

  • Hydrate!! Water and drink ALOT of it.

  • Pack your clutch with everything you need. Bandaids, makeup for touch ups, Panadol and tissues.

  • Allow enough time to get ready, the whole team will take a bit of time to get ready with hair and makeup, getting dressed then pre wedding photos.

  • Wear something easy to slip on and off whilst getting hair and makeup done.

  • Make sure you eat lunch.

  • Prepare an emergency kit with safety pins, emergency sewing kit, snacks, water and deodorant.

  •  Slow down and remember to take it all in.

  • Try be on time to your ceremony, you will have a run sheet so if you are late it will throw everything out. Being fashionably late is a super old tradition you don't need to adhere too.

  • As you walk down the aisle take a moment to concentrate on your hubby to be and the way he looks at you for the first time.

  • Make sure to write a list of groups of family members and friends you want to get photos with so it saves time, have a dedicated person to rally the groups together.

  • Make sure you prioritize your family photos as these will become treasured in time.

  • Make a allocated time to do the rounds to say hello to all your guests, our best advice on this one is after you have eaten dinner make your way around before hitting the dance floor.

  • Make sure you don't get too wasted you want to be able to remember the night haha

  • Delegate someone to keep your marriage certificate safe

  • Delegate someone to organizing taking your wishing well, gift table set up after the wedding.

  • Lastly my MOST favourite piece of advice is when the dance floor is pumping sneak off to the corner of the room with your hubby/wife and just look at everyone and remember why they are there. At the end of the day they are there to celebrate you and your love!! It's so freaking special.
