FIRSTLY CONGRATS!
How exciting you are now engaged & about to go on the adventure of wedding planning! I know it came seem extremely overwhelming all that entails getting married but lets just take it one step at a time. There are so many different areas to cover but to make it a bit easier for you I will take you through a little step by step recommended process. Keep in mind this is totally your own wedding so choose your own adventure! Photographer; Michelle Pragt Flowers on your wedding day are a truly stunning addition to have. They can really make everything at your venue pop! There is quite a big variety in colour tones & you getting to choose absolutely everything you want is what makes all the fun!
Today I had a little chat with Corrie from Morrie & Maisie, we spoke about the difference in flowers whether they be fresh or artificial. This all comes down to what the couple want on their special day. I've found that around 57% of couples like to have fresh flowers whereas another 20% will opt for artificial, interestingly a further 23% of couples like to have a combination of real & artificial. With the ever growing trends in our society dried flowers are now extremely popular. Here is what I found out below chatting to the lovely Corrie. Okay I don't think anything can beat the the feels of live entertainment!
A live band and or singer just brings so much to the venue! I think 90% of people would have to agree with me on this one, I am a huge taker for busting out on the dance floor to all those classic hits as I'm sure you all are. The music has to be personal to you both as a couple, as well as bringing great atmosphere to please your crowd! If you hire a DJ to come and spin all your favourite tracks on the most high tech equipment, the atmosphere will be completely different. Everything comes down to personal choice but I think you should keep an open mind, and maybe go and watch some live bands before you lock anything in :) Hello everyone & here we are again talking about the dreaded COVID-19.
To all the couples out there I honestly can't even imagine the thoughts & feelings you must be going through. The stress & heartache with trying to postpone your date or even cancel. Those of you who even had engagement parties that couldn't go ahead, I really feel for everyone with such big plans for 2020! In saying that theres no way anyone could of predicted something like this to happen & hopefully in our life times its the only pandemic we live through! It has been extremely challenging to stay focused as well as positive but lets hope we are through the worst of it, then we can start re working some big future plans :) I will talk you through some of the Australian government guidelines in relation to weddings. I will only be talking about Victoria as well. I know other states can move around a bit more freely but we won't think about that as we are based in Victoria. I know sometimes in the midst of all the planning you may be feeling a bit lost which is completely normal, it can sometimes be mentally exhausting trying to get everything together.
Especially when being asked several questions about themes/styles. There is no need to feel the pressure when trying to explain your style for your celebration. You might not even have a specific theme or style you are going for, there may be several things you like from all different themes. The best part about planning you can take a little bit from each idea you like to then put it altogether to make it uniquely your own :) Start by asking yourself a few questions to begin with. Do you know where you would like your wedding to be? What month of the year will your wedding be? What sort of colour palette are you going for? These will help you get an idea of what you might be interested in! Lets get talking about the endless possibilities & don't sweat the small stuff. Drafting your dream bouquet & centerpieces takes an extensive amount of time.
I know budgets are always a thing you don't want to go over when it comes to your wedding, then your're probably thinking the prices may seem a bit steep for a few flowers but there is far more time & effort put into it when it comes to a wedding. You are not only paying for the product you are also paying for a service. In the end if you are happy with the final product then its all worth it. I know the thought of writing your own wedding vows might sound extremely overwhelming...
BUT I think its so beautiful. It will be well worth all those unpleasant feels in the lead up. Getting to express your love to your significant other in front of all your nearest & dearest is so special! It may feel like you are under extreme pressure thinking 'is what I'm writing good enough?' or just fear of writing anything of your own at all. I know it may seem daunting but there is also something that is just so powerful in saying words you have personally written. Put those negative thoughts to the side & lets get writing. So I take it you are past the engagement process now you are trying to pick the best time to get married. Here is a little introduction to my findings on what season is the most popular to tie the knot!
Trying to decide on a specific time of the year or month to get married will be one of the most important decisions you will make. This decision comes before you choose a venue, a dress, the vendors or anything else involved in your wedding day. This is just the beginning of all thats involved so choose carefully. Lets get down to the nitty gritty of which month is the favourite. |
